Training Program Launched for 50 Women Entrepreneurs Under Baikhtiyar Women Project in Quetta

Quetta: The second phase of the Baikhtiyar Women Project has officially launched a training program for 50 women entrepreneurs at the Women Technical Training Centre on Sariab Road, Quetta.

The initiative is being implemented with financial support from the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and PTCL, while execution is being carried out by the Centre for Peace and Development (CPD) in collaboration with the Institute of Rural Management (IRM).

Under the project, a total of 100 women from Quetta district will receive vocational and business training in four phases.

Participants are being trained in dress designing, stitching, embroidery, and traditional handicrafts, along with modern digital skills. The program also focuses on enabling women to use social media platforms for online marketing of their products to promote small-scale businesses.

Organizers said the aim of the initiative is to provide sustainable employment opportunities, increase household income, and strengthen women’s economic independence in the region.

The program is designed to empower women financially and equip them with skills that can help them become self-reliant in the current economic environment.
