Court Sets Date to Frame Charges Against Rajab Butt in Assault Case

Lahore: A sessions court in Lahore has issued orders to proceed with formal charges against YouTuber Rajab Butt and his associates in an assault case.

The hearing was conducted by Additional Sessions Judge Yasir Arafat, during which the accused, including Rajab Butt, appeared before the court. The judge provided copies of the challan to the defendants and scheduled April 22 for the formal framing of charges.

According to case details, the complainant alleged that the accused invited her to his residence and assaulted her. Other individuals named in the case include Jahangir, Jawad Ali, and Abdul Rehman.

During the proceedings, the petitioner argued that Nawab Town Police Station did not present the facts accurately while registering the case and requested that interim bail be confirmed on a permanent basis.

The court has summoned all accused for the next hearing, where formal charges will be framed and further legal proceedings will begin.
