Petition Filed in Balochistan High Court Against Gas Load Shedding Schedule in Quetta

Quetta: A petition has been filed in the Balochistan High Court challenging the new gas supply schedule introduced by Sui Southern Gas Company.

The petition was submitted by prominent lawyer Syed Nazeer Agha, who termed the revised gas timings as unjust and detrimental to the public. The court has fixed April 16 for hearing the case and has summoned representatives of Sui Southern Gas Company as well as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to submit their responses regarding the new schedule.

Speaking to the media, Agha said the revised gas supply plan would significantly increase hardships for residents, calling it an unfair measure against citizens. He expressed hope that the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court would take into account public difficulties and deliver a decision in favor of the people.

He added that the upcoming hearing on April 16 holds great importance and voiced confidence that the court would strike down the gas company’s decision, providing relief to the citizens of Quetta.
