Balochistan Minister Urges Army Chief, PM to Launch Comprehensive Operation in Ziarat and Harnai

Quetta: Balochistan Food Minister Haji Noor Muhammad Dummar has strongly condemned the deadly attack on police personnel in Ziarat, describing it as one of the most tragic incidents in the district’s history.

In a statement, Dummar paid tribute to the fallen police officers, saying that despite limited resources, they fought the attackers with courage throughout the day and embraced martyrdom while defending the country until their last bullet.

The provincial minister appealed to Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to launch a comprehensive security operation in the mountainous regions of Ziarat and Harnai to restore peace and eliminate terrorism from the area.

He stressed that decisive action should be taken against terrorists and their facilitators without discrimination to establish the writ of the state and ensure the safety of local residents.

Dummar said the people and tribal elders of Ziarat and Harnai stand firmly with Pakistan’s security forces and are ready to provide every possible support for maintaining peace. He added that the Balochistan government remains committed to working alongside the federal government and security agencies to eradicate terrorism from the province.

Expressing solidarity with the families of the fallen officers, the minister said Ziarat has always been a peaceful district and that restoring and preserving its peace remains a top priority. He assured that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain and expressed hope that timely and decisive action by security forces would pave the way for lasting peace and development in the region.
