UAE Denies Reports of Restrictions on Iranian Residents, Calls Community an Integral Part of Society

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Foreign Affairs has categorically dismissed circulating claims regarding changes to the residency status of Iranian citizens living in the country.
Recent reports from foreign media suggested that UAE airlines had barred Iranian nationals from entry and transit, with some claims specifying that only holders of the “Golden Visa” were exempt. However, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a clear statement rejecting all such reports as false.
The ministry emphasized that the Iranian community is considered an essential and integral part of the UAE’s diverse social fabric. The statement reassures that there have been no changes to the residency status of Iranian citizens and aims to dispel any confusion or concerns arising amid recent regional developments.
Following the clarification, airlines have also denied any imposition of restrictions on Iranian travelers.
