Quality Education Key to Balochistan’s Sustainable Development, Says Finance Minister

Quetta: Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani has emphasized that sustainable development, economic stability, and social progress in Balochistan depend on the promotion of quality education.
In a statement, he said the provincial government is taking serious and practical steps to strengthen the education sector on modern lines. He revealed that around 3,200 previously non-functional schools across the province have been fully restored and made operational.
Nosherwani highlighted that education is the foundation of any developed and civilized society, adding that providing better educational opportunities to the younger generation would enable them to utilize their potential and contribute effectively to national development.
He noted that the government is introducing reforms to align the education system with modern requirements, improve institutional performance, and create a conducive learning environment for students.
The minister further stated that special emphasis is being placed on improving educational facilities in remote and underdeveloped areas so that students there can also benefit from quality education. He added that the education sector is being given priority in the provincial budget to ensure provision of basic facilities in schools and colleges, address teacher shortages, and raise overall academic standards.
He also underscored the importance of modern teaching methods, the use of technology, and professional training for teachers to equip students with skills relevant to contemporary demands.
Nosherwani expressed confidence that the youth of Balochistan possess immense potential and, if provided with the right opportunities, can bring pride to both the province and the country. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuing reforms aimed at improving education standards and ensuring a brighter future for the province.
