Heavy Rains Wreak Havoc in Harnai for Third Consecutive Day, Roads Cut Off

Harnai (April 1, 2026): Continuous heavy rains for the third consecutive day have caused widespread destruction in Harnai, severely disrupting daily life and cutting off the district from the rest of the country.
According to local authorities, several mud houses have been damaged due to persistent rainfall. In the Babu Mohalla area, the roof of a room in a house belonging to a resident named Sabir collapsed. Fortunately, no human casualties were reported, although livestock inside the room were buried under the debris.
Flooding in streams and seasonal rivers has led to the closure of key roads, disconnecting Harnai from other parts of Pakistan. The Harnai–Quetta and Harnai–Punjab highways remain closed for traffic, leaving residents stranded.
In a separate incident, a passenger pickup vehicle was swept away by a flash flood on the Harnai–Sibi road. The vehicle, traveling from Sibi to Harnai, was caught in a sudden surge of water. However, all passengers managed to jump out in time and miraculously survived, while the vehicle was carried away by the floodwaters.
Officials say the ongoing rains have severely disrupted normal life, and affected residents are calling for immediate assistance and restoration of connectivity
