How to Enable 5G on Your Mobile and Tablet Devices in Pakistan

Islamabad: As 5G technology rapidly expands worldwide, more users in Pakistan are shifting to modern smartphones and tablets to take advantage of faster internet speeds, lower latency, improved call quality, and more stable connections. However, tech experts reveal that many users are not fully utilizing 5G because it is often disabled by default on their devices.

Enabling 5G on mobile phones and tablets is quick and can be done in under a minute through simple settings adjustments.

For iPhone Users:

Ensure you are in a 5G coverage area.
Open Settings from the home screen.
Scroll down and tap Cellular.
Select Cellular Data Options.
Go to Voice & Data and choose 5G Auto or 5G On.

Experts recommend 5G Auto to save battery, as it automatically switches networks as needed.

For iPad Users:

Open Settings.
Select Cellular on the left panel.
Go to Cellular Data Options.
Under Voice & Data or Data Mode, select 5G Auto.

For Android Phone Users:
Settings may vary slightly by brand, but the basic process is similar. For example, on Samsung Galaxy S25+:

Swipe down from the home screen to open the menu.
Go to Settings.
Tap Connections.
Select Mobile Networks.
Turn on Allow 5G Service.

For Android Tablets:
Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ 5G and similar devices follow the same steps as Android phones.

Key Considerations:

5G works only in areas with network coverage.
Your SIM card and data plan must support 5G.
Sometimes resetting network settings resolves connectivity issues.

Tech experts emphasize that enabling 5G can dramatically enhance the digital experience, making online gaming, video streaming, and large file downloads faster and smoother than ever.
