Captain Hasnain Akhtar Awarded Sitara-e-Basalat, Fulfilling His Words of Valor

Rawalpindi: A brave officer of the Pakistan Army, Captain Hasnain Akhtar (Shaheed), has been posthumously awarded the Sitara-e-Basalat in recognition of his exceptional bravery and services to the nation.

According to reports, Captain Hasnain Akhtar once told his sister, “Boys do not receive gold medals; they are awarded Sitara-e-Basalat,” a statement that has now become a reality, reflecting his courage and dedication.

He belonged to the 143 Long Course and served in 8 Medium Artillery, later joining the 3 Commando Battalion of the Special Service Group (SSG). He embraced martyrdom on March 20, 2025, while defending the country.

His bravery, sense of duty, and ultimate sacrifice have been widely praised, with the nation expressing pride in his legacy. His contributions and courage will continue to be remembered for years to come.
