President Asif Ali Zardari Approves Key Bills and Official Summaries

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved several important legislative bills and government summaries, according to official sources.

The President approved the Islamabad Capital Territory (Prohibition of Plastic Book Covers) Bill 2026, a key environmental protection initiative introduced by Senator Sherry Rehman.

He also gave approval to the Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Bill 2026.

In addition, the President approved leave for the Governor of Sindh for travel outside Pakistan from May 21 to June 3, 2026.

Officials stated that these approvals are part of ongoing legislative and administrative processes aimed at improving governance and environmental regulation in the country.
