Maryam Nawaz Extends Eid Greetings, Calls for Unity and Enhanced Security Measures

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the sighting of the Shawwal moon, expressing hopes for peace, happiness, and unity on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In her message, Maryam Nawaz said that the Shawwal moon brings blessings, joy, and divine mercy, and prayed that the festival begins with peace, faith, and safety. She expressed hope that Eid-ul-Fitr would spread happiness, tranquility, and brotherhood across society.

She urged citizens to care for one another during the festive occasion and to share their happiness with those in need, promoting love and social harmony.

Alongside her Eid message, the Chief Minister also directed authorities to strengthen security arrangements during the holidays. She ordered increased deployment of security personnel in markets and shopping areas to ensure safe and peaceful shopping for citizens.

Additionally, she instructed authorities to enhance patrols around ATM machines to protect people during financial transactions. Officials have been directed to maintain law and order throughout Eid and take all necessary preventive measures to avoid any untoward incidents.
