SHO and 6 Police Personnel Killed in Lakki Marwat Attack, Injured Transferred to Hospital

LAKKI MARWAT — At least seven police officers, including the Station House Officer (SHO), were killed in a targeted attack on a police vehicle in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Express News, a powerful blast occurred near the Shadi Khel police station mobile unit. Initial reports indicate that the police vehicle was hit by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). Rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.

The deceased include SHO Sadar Azam, Constables Shah Bahram (driver), Shah Khalid, Haji Muhammad, Gulzada, and Sakhi Zada. Another officer, Constable Insafuddin, was injured and transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi condemned the attack in strong terms and requested a report from the Inspector General of Police. He described the deaths of the SHO and six other officers as “extremely tragic” and assured full support for the families of the martyrs. He also ordered the provision of best possible medical care for the injured.

The Chief Minister emphasized that such cowardly acts of terrorism will not weaken the resolve of the security forces or the people.
