The report shows that the combined wealth of a record **3,428 billionaires** worldwide has reached **$20.1 trillion**, the highest in history. Elon Musk’s personal fortune has risen to **$839 billion**, an increase of over $500 billion in just one year, fueled by gains in **Tesla** and **SpaceX**.
Musk is now the first individual whose net worth has surpassed **$800 billion**, bringing him closer than ever to becoming the world’s first **trillionaire**.
Forbes attributes the surge in billionaire wealth to rapid investment in **artificial intelligence**, volatile financial markets, and supportive financial policies. Compared to last year, around **400 new individuals** have been added to the billionaire list.
