CNG Stations Shut Down Indefinitely in Sindh and Balochistan; Public Faces Major Setback
Karachi: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced the indefinite closure of all CNG stations across Sindh and Balochistan.
According to the company, the decision has been taken to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to domestic consumers, which means the CNG sector will temporarily not receive gas.
SSGC stated that domestic and commercial users will continue to receive gas during Suhoor and Iftar hours, but under load management measures, gas supply in cities will be suspended from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Officials explained that to meet the current demand-supply gap, domestic consumers are being prioritized over industrial and commercial needs. The move aims to prevent gas shortages during the summer months and give priority to household requirements.
