Pakistan and Afghanistan Airspace See Surge in Overflights Amid Middle East Conflict

The ongoing war situation in the Middle East has led to a significant increase in overflights through the airspace of Pakistan and Afghanistan, turning key regional routes into some of the busiest global corridors.
According to data from Flightradar24, several air routes passing through Pakistani and Afghan airspace have become among the world’s most active aviation corridors under the current circumstances. Images sourced from the flight-tracking platform show a noticeable concentration of aircraft traversing both countries’ skies.
Sources within the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) stated that the sharp rise in overflights is expected to generate substantial financial gains for Pakistan’s aviation sector. With airlines rerouting to avoid conflict-affected areas, overflight traffic through Pakistani airspace has reportedly multiplied several times.
Officials anticipate that the increased air traffic could result in millions of dollars in additional revenue, providing a financial boost to the country’s aviation industry during a period of heightened regional instability.
