Aleema Khan Criticizes PTI Leadership Over Delays in Imran Khan’s Cases

Islamabad: Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has openly questioned the PTI leadership and some party leaders over the apparent delays in advancing her brother’s legal cases. She stated that she will now speak out on behalf of her brother, regardless of Mohsin Naqvi’s position.

Speaking to media outside the Islamabad High Court, Aleema Khan said that if a few people stand up and make statements, it would not harm the party. She raised concerns over the lack of response to Mohsin Naqvi’s statements and criticized the impression being created that the sisters are at fault.

Alima Khan also questioned why party lawyers and leaders, including those who have now become chairman or MNAs, have not taken steps to move her brother’s cases forward. She specifically named Barrister Gohar, Latif Khosa, and Barrister Ali Zafar, asking why they are absent and not handling the cases. She alleged that despite multiple instructions from Imran Khan to file cases, no tangible action has been seen.

Her sister, Uzma Khan, also criticized the party leadership for complete silence and inaction.

Aleema Khan emphasized that no decisions regarding her brother’s health can be made without consulting the family. She questioned whether the family should rely on the party or Mohsin Naqvi for updates, pointing out that some leaders are making unilateral decisions without informing the family, which she called shameful.

She added that if the family had been kept informed, the situation could have been managed better, but the leadership remained silent and withheld information. Alima Khan stated that social media and the public already know who the traitors within the party are.

After speaking to the media, Aleema Khan, accompanied by her sisters, headed back toward the Chief Justice’s chambers. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi also met with Alima Khan, and after a long consultation, departed from the High Court.
