YouTube Star MrBeast Battles Rare Eye Disease, Fans Concerned

United States (Qudrat Roznama) – Jimmy Donaldson, globally known as MrBeast, the world’s most-subscribed YouTuber, has revealed that he is suffering from a rare eye disease.

According to international reports, the condition has left him nearly blind in his right eye. MrBeast shared that he often has to tilt his head to see better, and even using contact lenses does not fully correct his vision.

While he did not disclose the exact name of his condition, the symptoms he described are similar to a rare genetic disorder called Stargardt disease. Experts say the disease typically begins in childhood or adolescence and affects the central part of the retina responsible for sharp, detailed vision, while peripheral vision often remains intact.

Medical specialists explain that Stargardt disease is hereditary and caused by a genetic defect that leads to the accumulation of toxic substances in the eye, gradually impairing central vision.

Currently, there is no complete cure for the disease, though research into modern treatments, including gene therapy, is ongoing. Experts also caution that excessive intake of vitamin A can be harmful and recommend wearing UV-protective glasses when outdoors to safeguard the eyes.
