Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Voices Concern Over Rising Robberies in Quetta

**Quetta:** The provincial secretariat of Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party has expressed serious concern over a surge in robberies in Quetta, particularly in Satellite Town’s Barech Colony and the Eastern Bypass area of Daud Town.
In a press release, the party condemned the recent wave of lawlessness, stating that back-to-back incidents of armed robbery and theft over the past two nights have spread fear and panic among residents. According to the statement, multiple homes in Barech Colony were targeted by armed robbers who allegedly held families hostage before fleeing with cash, gold jewelry, and other valuables.
A similar robbery was reported in Daud Town along the Eastern Bypass, further intensifying the sense of insecurity among citizens.
The party criticized police and other law enforcement agencies for what it described as inaction despite repeated incidents. It said that residents feel increasingly unsafe as criminal elements continue to operate without fear.
The press release demanded immediate notice of the incidents, increased police patrols and checkpoints in the affected areas, and the swift arrest of those involved to bring them to justice.
The party warned that if authorities fail to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property, it will be compelled to launch a strong protest movement in collaboration with the public.
The provincial secretariat also urged senior officials to fulfill their constitutional and legal responsibilities to restore law and order in Quetta so that residents can live in peace and security.
