IG Balochistan Pays Tribute to Police Martyrs, Announces New Initiatives for Their Families

Quetta:In a ceremony commemorating Police Martyrs’ Day, IG Police Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, paid homage to the brave martyrs of the Balochistan Police. He emphasized that these martyrs are invaluable assets and that a living nation never forgets its heroes. Their courage and bravery serve as guiding lights for the entire force.

Addressing the attendees, IG Sheikh highlighted the need to shift our mindset to achieve our goals and resist propaganda aimed at misleading us. He underscored that each new day brings the potential for light and progress, stressing the importance of following the path laid out by the sacrifices of the martyrs.

He noted that nations rise through sacrifice, and the sacrifices of martyrs are crucial. The martyrs have given their lives, and it is our duty to transform our thinking in their honor. Sheikh assured that the welfare of martyrs’ families is a top priority and that the Balochistan Police are working on various projects to support them.

One such initiative includes providing higher education opportunities for the children of martyrs. Approximately 90 children of martyrs have been admitted to cadet colleges under this program. Additionally, recommendations have been submitted to the Balochistan government to triple the compensation for the families of martyrs. The government has agreed in principle to this proposal, and the police force appreciates this positive step by the Balochistan government.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, IG Sheikh expressed his gratitude to all guests, especially the families of the martyrs, for their participation in the event.
