First Meeting of Judicial Commission on Gul Plaza Tragedy Held, Public Notice Issued

Karachi: The first meeting of the Judicial Commission on the Gul Plaza tragedy was held under the chairmanship of Justice Agha Faisal, with Karachi Commissioner and Secretary Law & Interior in attendance.
The commission issued a public notice seeking evidence from the public. It urged anyone with important information related to the incident to come forward and contact the commission.
The press notice, which includes the commission’s terms of reference (TOR), has been directed to be published in newspapers by the Press Information Department. Individuals with relevant facts or event-specific information can email the commission at gpi-coi@shc.gov.com
before February 20.
Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, has provided a secretariat for the commission, which has been set up within the Sindh High Court. Justice Agha Faisal has instructed the Karachi Commissioner to notify the commission’s staff, which will include the registrar, a focal person, and experts.
