PTI Leader Junaid Akbar Claims Two Party Workers Picked Up by Unidentified Vehicles

Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Junaid Akbar has alleged that two party workers were picked up by unidentified vehicles, raising concerns over what he termed an alarming situation.
Speaking to journalists in Parliament, Akbar claimed that vehicles without number plates are roaming in Rawalpindi and said two of his party’s members were taken away in such vehicles a day earlier.
He further stated that a lawyer from the Peshawar Bar was subjected to violence, adding that if members of the legal fraternity are not safe, the condition of ordinary citizens can be imagined.
Akbar criticized the treatment of opposition members in Parliament, saying such behavior is unacceptable regardless of political affiliation. “We have also been elected by the people, yet we are not given the opportunity to speak,” he said.
He also claimed that despite his name appearing on the visitors’ list 22 times over the past year, he was not allowed to meet a detainee at Adiala Jail.
