Punjab Likely to Experience Above-Normal Rainfall and Higher Temperatures in Coming Months: PDMA

Lahore: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a three-month weather advisory, alerting relevant departments about expected climatic changes in the province.
According to PDMA, Punjab is likely to experience above-normal rainfall and higher-than-usual temperatures during May, June, and July.
The authority stated that northern and northwestern Punjab may receive above-normal rainfall, while eastern Punjab is expected to receive slightly below-normal rainfall. Central Punjab is likely to experience normal rainfall patterns.
PDMA further warned that temperatures across the province will remain above average during May. A heatwave is also expected in most districts of Punjab from May 7 to May 11, with significantly higher-than-normal temperatures.
In response to the forecast, PDMA has issued directives to all concerned departments to remain on alert and ensure necessary precautionary measures to deal with potential heatwave and weather-related risks.
