Maryam Nawaz’s Quetta Visit Historic and Welcoming, Says Jamal Shah Kakar
**Quetta (Qudrat Roznama):** Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Balochistan General Secretary and Member of the National Assembly **Jamal Shah Kakar** has termed **Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Quetta** as historic and welcoming, saying it has boosted the morale of the people of Balochistan and delivered a clear message of national unity.
In his statement, Jamal Shah Kakar praised Maryam Nawaz’s announcement of **Rs10 billion in assistance for security forces** engaged in counter-terrorism efforts in Balochistan, calling it a bold, timely, and commendable step. He said that at a time when Balochistan is facing serious security challenges, practical support from the Punjab government reflects an excellent example of inter-provincial harmony.
He said the inauguration of the **Begum Kulsoom Nawaz Pediatric Cardiology Block** at **Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital, Quetta**, is a major milestone for the province’s healthcare sector. The state-of-the-art facility, he added, will provide quality treatment for heart diseases to thousands of children from Balochistan and adjoining areas—services that were previously limited to major cities.
Jamal Shah Kakar noted that naming the project after **Begum Kulsoom Nawaz (late)** symbolizes public service, compassion, and welfare-oriented politics. He said the PML-N leadership has always prioritized public welfare, health, and development, and that Maryam Nawaz Sharif is translating this vision into action.
He further said that the Punjab Chief Minister’s visit proves that the PML-N does not view Balochistan as a backward province but as an equal partner in national development. He expressed hope that the Punjab government will continue its cooperation with the people of Balochistan in development projects, healthcare, education, and security in the future.
