BCCI Denies Indian Players’ Request to Have Families During ICC T20 World Cup

Mumbai:The **Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)** has refused requests from Indian players to have their families accompany them during the **ICC T20 World Cup**, according to Indian media reports.

The team management had approached the BCCI on behalf of the players, seeking permission to allow family members to stay with the squad during the tournament. However, the board maintained its existing policy, clearly stating that **family members will not be allowed to stay with the team**.

The BCCI told the management that while families cannot stay with players, they may **make separate arrangements** if they wish.

It is noted that the BCCI had issued **guidelines for player families** during overseas tours following the 2025 tour of Australia.
