Quetta Police Warn Against Strikes and Road Blockades During Section 144 Enforcement

QUETTA: Quetta Police, in a statement issued on Monday, announced that during the enforcement of Section 144, there will be a complete ban on wheel-jam strikes, shutter-down strikes, forced closure of shops, road blockades, or any form of protest.

According to the district administration’s orders, Section 144 has been imposed in Quetta city to protect the lives and property of citizens, restore law and order, and ensure the smooth continuation of daily life. The police emphasized that no type of strike will be allowed under any circumstances during this period.

The statement warned that strict legal action will be taken against individuals, organizations, or facilitators found violating Section 144. Those responsible will be arrested and detained under the Maintenance of Public Order (3 MPO) law.

Quetta Police have appealed to the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, refrain from believing or spreading rumors, and play a positive role in maintaining peace and stability in the city. The police reiterated their firm commitment to ensuring the protection of lives and property of the public at all times.
