Shahid Afridi Condemns Islamabad Suicide Attack, Calls for Immediate Action Against Terrorism

Islamabad — Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has strongly condemned the recent suicide bombing in Islamabad, urging authorities to take immediate measures to eliminate terrorism.

In a message posted on social media, Afridi stated that following recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan, terrorists have now brutally targeted innocent civilians in Islamabad through their savage actions.

Afridi warned that the wave of terrorism is intensifying daily and questioned how the nation can continue to endure such attacks. “How long will we limit ourselves to condemning statements and tweets?” he asked.

He demanded that the evidence of external interference, which is repeatedly cited, be presented transparently to the nation. Afridi stressed that the government should involve the public and take all necessary measures immediately to eradicate terrorism.

The attack took place at Imambargah and Masjid Khadijat-ul-Kubra in Islamabad’s Tarlai area, killing 32 people and injuring more than 150 others. Authorities are investigating the incident and have intensified efforts to trace the attackers and their networks.
