Over 700 Militants Killed in Balochistan in Past Year; 37 Eliminated in Latest Operations, Says CM Bugti

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that security forces have eliminated more than 700 militants across the province over the past 12 months, reaffirming the state’s resolve to continue operations until terrorism is completely eradicated.

Speaking in Quetta, the chief minister stated that nearly 70 militants were killed in security operations over the last two days alone. He added that in the latest actions carried out early today, security forces have so far neutralized 37 more militants.

CM Bugti said that militants linked to “Fitna-e-Hindustan” attempted to carry out attacks in various areas early in the morning, but timely and coordinated actions by the Balochistan Police and Frontier Corps (FC) successfully thwarted all attempts.

He emphasized that such cowardly attacks would not weaken the resolve of the state. “The state will not rest until the last terrorist is eliminated,” he said, adding that security operations would continue with full force.
