The Prime Minister said he praised President Trump for his initiative to establish a Board of Peace for Gaza, calling it an important step toward restoring peace in the war-affected region. He added that he told the US President that if he succeeded in ensuring peace, dignity, and basic rights for the Palestinian people, and if the reconstruction of Gaza was completed successfully, history would remember this initiative as a great legacy of his leadership.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed gratitude to President Trump for his effective role in de-escalating tensions between Pakistan and India. “Mr President, history will remember you as a great leader who intervened in a timely and effective manner and saved millions of lives in the region,” he said.
