PDMA Completes Rescue Operation in Snow-Hit Areas of Balochistan: Shahid Rind

Quetta: Balochistan’s Assistant Chief Minister for Political and Media Affairs, Shahid Rind, has said that the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Balochistan has successfully completed a rescue operation in areas severely affected by snowfall across the province.
In a statement, Shahid Rind said the PDMA carried out the rescue operation in an effective, timely, and professional manner, safely evacuating passengers stranded in dozens of vehicles and shifting them to secure locations.
He said that despite extreme cold and harsh weather conditions, the PDMA, district administration, and rescue teams performed their duties with dedication, helping save hundreds of precious lives. He added that the successful operation was clear evidence of the Balochistan government’s advance planning, effective strategy, and strong institutional coordination.
Shahid Rind further said that on the instructions of the chief minister, it has been decided to award performance certificates to officers overseeing the rescue operation as well as field teams, in recognition of their hard work, commitment, and professional services.
He added that the Balochistan government is further enhancing the capacity of PDMA to ensure a swift and effective response to any future emergency or natural disaster.
