Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Condemns Crackdown on Employees’ Protest, Warns of Joining Streets Movement if Demands Ignored

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) has strongly condemned the police baton charges, arrests, raids, and internet shutdowns imposed on protesting government employees by the provincial government, describing these actions as unconstitutional, undemocratic, and illegal.

In a press release from the party’s provincial secretariat, PMAP stated that the government’s oppressive measures are forcing employees to protest. The party urged authorities to immediately address the employees’ legitimate demands, including the implementation of the **DRA (District Reform Allowance)**, and to honor previous commitments. If the government complies, the employees would withdraw from protests.

PMAP criticized the ongoing harassment of employees, including raids on homes, offices, and educational institutions, threats to male and female officers and teachers, and the use of force through baton charges and arrests. The party highlighted that the shutdown of internet and mobile networks, placement of barricades on main roads, and heavy security measures across Quetta to suppress the protests are unlawful and a blatant attempt to instill fear.

The party reaffirmed its full support for the democratic protests of the **Grand Alliance employees** and their demands, and strongly opposed the provincial government’s oppressive actions. PMAP warned that if the government continues its repressive measures, the party will actively join the Grand Alliance employees in their protests and take part in a justified movement against the authorities.
