Shah Mahmood Qureshi Congratulates MPA Nadeem Qureshi for Speech Against Punjab Protection of Immovable Property Act 2025

**Islamabad:** Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader **Shah Mahmood Qureshi**, currently in **Kot Lakhpat Jail**, has written a letter to **Punjab Assembly member Nadeem Qureshi**, praising him for his well-reasoned speech opposing the **Punjab Protection of Immovable Property Act 2025**.

In the letter, Shah Mahmood Qureshi highlighted that Nadeem Qureshi’s speech has helped **unite the legal community** against the controversial legislation. He noted that under **Hamid Khan’s leadership, both groups** and the **Punjab Bar Council, led by Ahsan Bhawan**, rejected the law. Furthermore, the **Chief Justice, Aliya Neelum**, has suspended the portions of the act that granted **Deputy Commissioners authority over decisions**.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi added that the Punjab Bar Council is **considering launching a formal movement** against the act. He also appreciated Nadeem Qureshi’s campaign in the assembly, stating that it brought **great satisfaction** to the party.

Although he is currently incarcerated, Qureshi mentioned he is **closely observing developments**. The letter was delivered to Nadeem Qureshi through **Zain Qureshi**.
