Possible Increase in Electricity Prices by PKR 2.63 per Unit

Islamabad: There is a potential increase in electricity prices by PKR 2.63 per unit. Consumers of government-owned distribution companies are expected to face higher electricity costs, with the price likely to rise by PKR 2.63 per unit for the upcoming month. The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has submitted a request to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for this increase.
The CPPA has requested this adjustment under the monthly Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) mechanism. NEPRA will make a decision on this request after conducting a hearing on the matter.
