Good News for Women in Balochistan: Government Launches “Women Economic Empowerment Fund” for Business Support

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):**
Dr. Rababa Khan Baleedi, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on the Department of Women Development, announced the establishment of the **Women Economic Empowerment Endowment Fund**, describing it as a revolutionary and historic initiative aimed at improving the economic and social status of women in the province.
In her statement, Dr. Baleedi emphasized that economic independence is the greatest guarantee of social dignity and protection for women. The fund will provide skilled, educated, but unemployed and marginalized women in Balochistan with opportunities to stand on their own feet. The central goal of this policy is to transition women from traditional economic dependency to becoming successful entrepreneurs and business managers, enabling them to support their families and actively contribute to the province’s economy.
She added that strict codes of conduct have been established to ensure transparency and merit in the allocation of funds. Priority will be given to women in remote rural areas who lack resources to showcase their skills, while special provisions are included for widows, underprivileged, and disabled women.
The fund will provide financial assistance for starting small-scale businesses, promoting traditional handicrafts, and offering technical training aligned with modern requirements, ensuring that Balochistan’s women do not face resource constraints in pursuing opportunities.
Dr. Rababa Khan Baleedi concluded by saying that under the leadership of Chief Minister Balochistan, the provincial government is committed to removing all social and economic barriers that hinder women’s progress in the province.
