Apple Discontinues Older iPhone Models, Paving the Way for Upgrade to iPhone 16e

**Islamabad:** Apple has officially discontinued the production and sale of several older iPhone models, including the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone SE (third generation), following the announcement of its new iPhone 16e. The move opens a clear upgrade path for users looking to switch to a newer device.
According to reports, the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus are no longer available for purchase as new devices through Apple’s official website or retail stores. However, limited stock may still be available through third-party retailers and mobile carriers.
The newly introduced iPhone 16e is expected to replace the discontinued SE and 14 Plus models. It features a 6.1-inch display, the latest A18 chip, Face ID, and a USB-C charging port, aligning with Apple’s newer design and performance standards.
Apple has clarified that software updates and security support for the discontinued models will continue until 2029–2030. Existing users can continue using their devices without any issues, while new buyers will now be directed toward the iPhone 16e or other latest models.
The decision is part of Apple’s strategy to streamline its product lineup, comply with European Union USB-C regulations, and boost sales of the new budget-friendly iPhone 16e. Consumers may also find discounted prices on remaining stock of older models until supplies last.
