Trump Says He Would Like to Run for President a Fourth Time

WASHINGTON:U.S. President Donald Trump has said he would like to run for the presidency for a fourth time, despite constitutional term limits that prohibit such a bid.
Speaking at a gathering with journalists in Washington, Trump remarked that what he was about to say might be “big news,” adding that he would like to run for president for a fourth time.
Trump is currently about halfway through his second term in office. Under Section 1 of the **22nd Amendment** to the U.S. Constitution, no person may be elected president more than twice.
As a result, Trump’s comments about seeking not only a third but even a fourth presidential term were widely viewed as rhetorical, as the U.S. Constitution currently bars any individual from being elected president more than two times.
