Unity of Muslim Ummah and Regional Peace Are Essential, Says PM After Call With Saudi Crown Prince

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are moving towards a bright, hopeful, and strong future, following a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, the prime minister described the discussion with the Saudi crown prince as warm and cordial. He said both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif noted that bilateral ties between the two countries have expanded significantly in recent months and that new avenues of cooperation are expected to emerge in the near future. He emphasized that enhancing mutual relations is the need of the hour, as both countries have always stood by each other in difficult times.
The prime minister said that regional and international developments were also discussed during the conversation. He stressed that unity and solidarity within the Muslim Ummah are indispensable and that dialogue and diplomacy are the only effective ways to ensure peace and stability in the region.
Expressing complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, the prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s consistent support for peace and stability. He thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan in all sectors.

According to the prime minister, the Saudi crown prince also expressed his intention to pay an official visit to Pakistan next year, a development being seen as a significant step forward in bilateral relations. The visit is expected to further enhance cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier, the Prime Minister’s Office also issued a statement regarding Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Malki at the Prime Minister House. During the meeting, regional and global issues were discussed, with both sides once again emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for peace and stability.
The prime minister expressed satisfaction with the current state of Pakistan-Saudi relations and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening these ties. He appreciated Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan, noting that the Kingdom has always stood by Pakistan in challenging times and played a positive role in promoting regional peace.
Referring to his meetings with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during the year, the prime minister said the engagements were highly productive and helped elevate Pakistan-Saudi relations to new heights. He also acknowledged the Saudi leadership’s goodwill and cooperative spirit toward Pakistan.
Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Malki conveyed best wishes from the Saudi leadership and said the Kingdom is keen to further expand cooperation with Pakistan across all sectors. He added that bilateral relations are based on mutual trust and respect and are expected to grow even stronger in the future.
