Pakistan to Launch Its First Rap Reality Show “Rap Icon Pakistan” in 2026

Lahore: Pakistan’s first-ever rap reality television show, “Rap Icon Pakistan,” is set to premiere in 2026, with the official announcement made by Pixel Entertainment. The show aims to spotlight emerging rap talent and provide a mainstream platform for hip-hop culture in the country.

According to the announcement, renowned Pakistani rapper Talha Anjum and international hip-hop artist Bohemia will serve as judges on the show. Their role will be to mentor, evaluate, and guide contestants through various rap challenges.

“Rap Icon Pakistan” will consist of 10 episodes, expected to air around Eid-ul-Fitr. The competition will feature 10 to 12 selected contestants, who will compete in different rap-based challenges. Participants may face eliminations in the early episodes based on their performances.

Producers have opened auditions nationwide, inviting aspiring rappers to submit applications. Interested candidates are required to create a rap track using the phrase “Rap Icon Pakistan” and submit a video of their performance.

The producers revealed that the audition and selection process will begin in January, with plans to complete the entire shooting schedule before Ramadan.

While this is Pakistan’s first reality show dedicated exclusively to rap, the concept has already proven successful internationally. Shows like “The Rap Game” in the United States and “MTV Hustle” in India have played a significant role in promoting hip-hop and discovering new talent.

“Rap Icon Pakistan” is being seen as a new chapter in the country’s music industry, expected to introduce fresh voices, elevate rap culture, and bring it into the mainstream entertainment landscape.
