Country Entering 2026 with Pride After Past Ruins, Says Defence Minister Khawaja Asif

Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the previous government left the country in ruins, but Pakistan is now moving forward and entering 2026 with pride and dignity.

According to a private TV channel, Khawaja Asif, in his statement, said that construction has now begun on the ruins left behind by the former government. He added that Pakistan’s stance on key national and international matters is now being taken seriously.

The defence minister said that due to the current government’s policies and measures, Pakistan is heading into 2026 with honour and confidence. He noted that both the internal and external direction of the country has improved, and issues that were ignored in the past are now seeing practical progress.

Khawaja Asif further stated that the foundations which were previously left weak are now being strengthened, resulting in growing stability in state affairs.

Meanwhile, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani said that the positive remarks and opinions about Pakistan emerging at diplomatic and other international forums are a major sign of success for the country.

Similarly, Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon welcomed the positive developments at the global level, stating that due to the current policies and the leadership of the Army Chief, Pakistan is receiving appreciation worldwide.
