Sindh Government Announces Public Holiday on Benazir Bhutto’s Death Anniversary

Lahore:On the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the Sindh government has announced a public holiday across the province.

According to details, the Government of Sindh has issued a notification declaring Saturday, December 27, 2025, as a public holiday throughout the province. The notification states that all government, semi-government offices and local government institutions will remain closed on December 27 in observance of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary.

It is pertinent to note that the Sindh government announces a public holiday every year on this occasion. As per tradition, educational institutions as well as departments and institutions under the provincial and local governments also remain closed.

Every year, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) organizes a large public gathering to mark the anniversary, while party leaders and workers visit Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to pay respects and offer Fateha at the graves of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
