Balochistan CM Mir Sarfaraz Bugti Attends Funeral of Senior Journalist Raja Matloob Tahir
*Quetta (Daily Qudrat)* – Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, attended the funeral prayer of renowned anchorperson and senior journalist Raja Matloob Tahir on Monday, offering heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Paying tribute to the late journalist, the Chief Minister described Raja Matloob Tahir as a principled, fearless, and highly professional journalist, as well as a close personal friend. He praised Tahir’s lifelong commitment to responsible and truth-based journalism, noting that he continued to serve the media professionally in Balochistan until his final days.
Mir Sarfaraz Bugti highlighted Tahir’s dedication to raising public issues with courage and integrity, expressing deep personal grief over the loss of a sincere friend and emphasizing the importance of independent and principled journalism in a democratic society. He prayed for the departed soul to attain a high status in the hereafter and for strength and patience for the grieving family, friends, and the journalistic community.
The funeral was attended by prominent anchorpersons Salim Safi, Wasim Badami, Yasir Shami, along with journalists, political and social figures, local dignitaries, and a large number of citizens.
