Balochistan Grand Alliance to Launch Province-Wide Protest from December 15, Full Lockdown Planned from December 30

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — **Balochistan Grand Alliance (BGA)** has announced a province-wide protest campaign starting **December 15** to demand the implementation of recommendations from the joint committee on employees’ rights. The movement will escalate to a **complete provincial lockdown on December 30**, if the provincial government fails to take action.

The announcement was made by **BGA Central Organizer Professor Abdul Quddus Kakr** and **General Secretary Haji Ali Asghar Bangalzai** during a joint press conference at Quetta Press Club, attended by senior party officials. They urged **Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti** to immediately approve the committee’s recommendations, warning that the protest will intensify in phases if ignored.

The BGA leaders said that prior to the presentation of the provincial budget this year, they had submitted a **Charter of Demands** to ministers, government officials, and concerned authorities, which was not addressed. They claimed that organized and peaceful protests were sabotaged, homes were raided, leaders were arrested, and government employees faced baton charges and tear gas attacks—actions they described as unprecedented in peacetime.

The alliance outlined a detailed schedule for the protest campaign:

* **December 12:** District-level BGA Action Committee meetings across all districts.
* **December 13:** Press conferences by district Action Committee officials.
* **December 15–16:** Black flags and banners at government offices; employees to wear black armbands.
* **December 17–20:** Protest rallies and demonstrations in various divisions including Kalat, Sibi, Zhob, Rakhshan, Makran, Nasirabad, Loralai, and Quetta divisions.
* **December 23:** Provincial rally and demonstration in Quetta city.
* **December 24–26:** Protest camps outside press clubs across all districts.
* **December 30–31:** Complete provincial lockdown.
* **January 1, 2026:** BGA Core Committee meeting to announce the next course of action.

The BGA emphasized that the prolonged delay in implementing recommendations has caused **frustration among 232,000 government employees**, and the protests aim to secure their legitimate rights through organized and peaceful mobilization.
