NA-251: Preparations Complete for Re-Polling at 22 Stations; Army and FC to Be Deployed, Says Provincial Election Commissioner

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — Under the chairmanship of Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan Ali Asghar Sial, a key meeting was held at the office of the Provincial Election Commissioner regarding arrangements for re-polling at **22 polling stations** of NA-251 (Sherani-cum-Zhob-cum-Killa Saifullah) scheduled for **December 18, 2025**.
The meeting was attended by Joint Provincial Election Commissioner Syed Wasim Ahmed Jafri, Director Elections Abdullah, Director Administration Naeem Ahmed, Commissioner Zhob Division Syed Zahid Shah, Additional Secretary Home Dr. Atiq, Regional Election Commissioner Zhob Division Sardar Mazhar Hussain, D.R.O./Deputy Commissioner Zhob Arif Zarkoon, Returning Officer Babur Khan, SP Killa Saifullah Shah Rukh Khan, DPO Zhob Shaukat Ali, District Election Commissioner Asghar Khan, and other officials.
Participants were briefed that all election materials had been handed over to the Returning Officer, while the printing of ballot papers and training of election staff will be completed in the next two days. The deployment of the **army and Frontier Corps** at highly sensitive polling stations was also discussed.
Provincial Election Commissioner Ali Asghar Sial instructed that neutral and credible polling staff must be appointed, and foolproof security should be ensured for all election materials, including ballot papers. He emphasized that all polling stations should provide a peaceful environment to enable citizens to exercise their right to vote freely and without intimidation.
This step marks a critical move to ensure transparency and smooth conduct of re-polling in the constituency.
