Red Zone Protest Postponed for a Week, Young Doctors Warn of March if Demands Ignored

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – The **Young Doctors Association (YDA) Balochistan** has conditionally postponed its planned protest at the Red Zone for one week, following a detailed meeting between the **district administration** and the YDA Supreme Council. The meeting was held under the directives of the **Quetta Commissioner**, with the Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner in attendance.
During the discussions, the Supreme Council addressed the long-standing issues faced by doctors and received assurances from the administration. However, the council made it clear that if the government fails to take **practical steps on their demands within a week**, the YDA will **resume the march and protest at the Red Zone**.
The Supreme Council emphasized the urgent need for **reforms in provincial medical institutions**, including the resolution of administrative inefficiencies, resource shortages, and systemic mismanagement. The council warned that doctors’ legitimate and legal demands can no longer be ignored, and if no progress is made, the **next move will be decisive**.
