Security Forces Thwart Multiple Terrorist Attacks in Balochistan; 6 Terrorists Killed, Major Arms Cache Seized

**Quetta:** Security forces in Balochistan successfully foiled several major terrorist attacks across the province, conducting multiple operations to neutralize threats.

In Nokundi, Chagai district, militants attacked the Frontier Corps’ central camp on Sunday night. The assault, which took place around 8:30 PM, involved gunfire and explosions, creating panic in the area. Security forces killed six terrorists, including a suicide bomber, and launched a large-scale clearance operation in the vicinity.

In Kharan district, militants opened fire at the Goruk check post, killing one security personnel and injuring seven others. The wounded were immediately transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Security sources said the attackers managed to escape the area.

In Panjgur district, unidentified armed individuals launched a rocket attack on the Vishbud police station in Srikoran, burning police records and several other items. Security forces quickly responded and regained full control of the situation.

Meanwhile, a major terrorist plot was foiled in Balochistan when security forces stopped a suspicious Toyota X-UV at the Guargo check post in Panjgur. A large cache of weapons and explosives was recovered, including 20 hand grenades, 5 rocket launcher rounds, 2 MI-16 rifles, 1 suicide jacket, 30 demolition slabs, and 20 Stun devices. The vehicle was driven by Sajid Ahmed, a Turbat resident with a master’s degree from International Islamic University Islamabad.

Authorities said the timely operations prevented a large-scale terrorist attack, and the suspect has been arrested for further investigation.
