Balochistan Board Investigates Alleged Manipulation of Intermediate Results, 34 Students Under Probe

**Quetta:** The **Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education** (BISE) has launched a high-level investigation into alleged tampering of the **HSSC 2024 results**, following claims that marks were artificially inflated for certain students. A total of **34 students** are under scrutiny.

The formation of the committee comes **under the directive of the Balochistan High Court**. BISE Chairman **Mohammad Ishaq** issued the official notification appointing the committee. **Zia-ur-Rehman**, Secretary of Balochistan Board, will serve as the committee’s chair, while **Deputy Secretary Mohammad Shafee and Mohammad Haroon** have been appointed as members.

According to the notification, the 34 students accused of having inflated marks will receive **notices for personal hearings** and must present their **original educational documents along with two certified copies**.

The committee’s investigation will also contribute to **FIR No. 12/Q/2025** registered with the **Anti-Corruption Balochistan**. Upon completing its inquiry, the committee will submit a **detailed report and recommendations to the BISE Chairman**, after which further **legal and administrative action** will be taken by the board or its executive body.

All proceedings will be conducted in accordance with the **Balochistan Educational Board Act 2019**.

This move underscores the board’s commitment to **ensuring transparency and accountability in the examination process**.
