Chinese Firm Signs $1.5 Billion Deal With Punjab Government to Build 300-Acre Industrial Park

A major Chinese company has signed an agreement with the Punjab government to establish a **state-of-the-art industrial park on 300 acres** of land. The project, valued at **$1.5 billion**, is expected to create **thousands of new jobs** and boost industrial growth in the province.
Punjab’s Minister for Industries and Commerce, **Chaudhry Shafaat Hussain**, said the provincial government is providing every possible facility to foreign investors. He added that this investment would mark the beginning of a new era of employment opportunities and industrial development in Punjab.
The minister further stated that Punjab’s **Special Economic Zones (SEZs)** are being upgraded with world-class infrastructure. Under the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company, **community centers and banking services** are also being provided to fully support investors.
The upcoming industrial park will house manufacturing units from the **textile, automotive, pharmaceutical**, and several other sectors, which will not only enhance production capacity but also generate significant employment opportunities.
**Sino Pak Tech Industry (Pvt) Ltd.**, the Chinese firm involved, is known for promoting China–Pakistan industrial cooperation. Through its subsidiary **Sinopak Electromechanica (Pvt) Ltd.**, the company provides machinery procurement, transportation, customs clearance, installation, and after-sales services to Chinese enterprises operating in Pakistan.
The project is being hailed as a major step toward strengthening Pakistan–China industrial ties and accelerating Punjab’s economic transformation.
