Dubai Airshow Suspends Further Aerial Displays After Indian Tejas Fighter Jet Crashes; Investigation Launched

**Islamabad:** The Dubai Airshow administration has announced a full investigation after an Indian Air Force Tejas fighter jet crashed during an aerial display, resulting in the death of the pilot. The incident occurred during a scheduled performance at the event, prompting immediate safety measures.

The Indian Air Force confirmed that the domestically manufactured Tejas aircraft went down while participating in the airshow. Following the crash, the Dubai Airshow management temporarily suspended all further aerial demonstrations.

Authorities sealed off the crash site to collect evidence, and a formal investigation into the cause of the accident is now underway.

The Tejas is an indigenously developed Indian fighter jet, with its first test flight conducted in 2001. This marks the second Tejas crash in less than two years; earlier, in March 2024, another Tejas aircraft crashed in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Investigators are expected to review technical data, pilot communication, and aircraft maintenance records as part of the inquiry.
