Former Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Ex-Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood Acquitted in Haqiqi Azadi March Case

Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court Islamabad delivered its verdict in the Haqiqi Azadi March case involving former PTI leaders and workers.

Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti approved the acquittal petitions of former Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and former Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood, granting them relief. However, the court rejected the acquittal petitions of several other PTI workers.

For the accused whose acquittal petitions were dismissed, the court has adjourned proceedings until December 9. Two separate cases related to the Haqiqi Azadi March have been registered against the former PTI leaders and others at Bara Kahu Police Station.
