Aamir Khan Reveals Tension Between Karisma and Raveena During *Andaz Apna Apna* Shoot

Mumbai: Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan, who has completed over six decades of legacy in Indian cinema, has disclosed surprising behind-the-scenes challenges from the making of the blockbuster classic *Andaz Apna Apna*.
Speaking at an event, Aamir revealed that although the cast had a great time overall, filming the movie was extremely difficult. “I was the only actor who consistently reached the set on time,” he said. “When Raveena arrived on set, Karisma would leave—there was that much tension between them.”
Reflecting on the atmosphere during shooting, he added, “I’m not sure I should say this, but there was clear friction between Karisma and Raveena. I often wondered how we would ever finish the film because they simply couldn’t shoot together.”
Aamir also recalled the confusion surrounding the film’s initial response. “The story was quite quirky. The film didn’t even run for a week after its release. But I always believed in its potential—and eventually every new generation came to love it.”
Released in 1994, *Andaz Apna Apna* featured Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in the iconic roles of Amar and Prem, with Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor as their co-stars. While the film flopped at the box office initially, it later became a cult classic, beloved for its humor, characters, and the entertaining antics of the two lead actors.
