PMAP Condemns 27th Constitutional Amendment as “Anti-Democratic” and Calls for Unity Against It

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily)** — The *Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PMAP)* has strongly rejected the proposed *27th Constitutional Amendment*, describing it as the *worst form of authoritarianism* and part of a *new colonial agenda*.
In an official press release from the party’s central secretariat, PMAP criticized the amendment for attempting to *roll back the parliamentary system established by the 18th Amendment*, centralizing power in limited circles. The release also alleged that the amendment undermines the *Supreme Court’s authority* by prioritizing the *Federal Constitutional Court*, reduces the powers of the President, and grants *constitutional status to military command*, severely impacting the independence of the judiciary.
The party urged all *democracy-supporting groups, civil society organizations, and political forces* in Pakistan to *unite against this unconstitutional move*. PMAP warned that if the government does not withdraw the amendment, *public and democratic forces will join together to resist it*.
